 Dr. Gao's major research interests include public stigma towards people with severe mental illness, high expressed emotion of people with schizophrenia and their caregivers, horticultural therapy, Integrative Body-Mind-Spirit (IBMS) model, and social work localization and primary-level governance in Chinese context.
